Description

Abeke is an African name which means “we asked for her to pet her.” We saw this particular giraffe in the Masai Mara in Kenya. You never catch a giraffe sleeping because they only nap about 30 minutes a day in 1-2 minute intervals. They spend the majority of their life standing up . The beautiful and soft patterns on her body and the sweetness of her face made all of us who saw her want to pet her, thus we called her “Abeke.”
