Description

At the waterhole in Botswana, I saw a Maasai giraffe with straddled legs bending down to drink. What an awkward view of such a graceful animal. He became vulnerable prey in that position and luckily he only has to drink every few days. The waterhole afforded us the opportunity to watch one of the "TALLEST" animals in Africa perform an ordinary but extraordinary necessity of survival.
